The Adventure in Cusco and Classic Inca Trail 8 days and 7 nights is a new proposal to be able to mix two of the best experiences in the city of Cusco, the walk and the adventure.
In this adventure we will visit City Tour in Cusco where we can see the magnitude of Inca architecture. Tour in the Sacred Valley of the Incas we will appreciate the typical market of the Inca terraces, a hike to the mountain of seven colors Vinicunca, and finally we will do the Classic Inca Trail tour. The Traditional Inca Trail is part of the network of roads that the Incas developed to link the main administrative and religious centers throughout Tahuantinsuyo.
The Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is undoubtedly one of the most frequented excursions by those who seek adventure when visiting Peru, its spectacular landscapes of the Andes chain, shows a great mixture of jungle and mountain rainge. And after all the adventure, you will take your flight back to the City of Lima.

Day 01: Cusco
Get to Cusco! We will welcome you at the airport or bus station of Cusco, we will wait for you and take you to your Hotel in Cusco.
You will have whole afternoon to acclimate in Cusco, you can walk along the city by yourself, of course our personal suggest you where you can go. If you want you can do the visit to Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay (Not include in this package).
Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 02: Super Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Breakfast.
“Super valley Tour”—is an absolute way to explore the highlights of the Sacred Valley in one day, not missing anything.
06:45 Hr. You will be picked up from your Hotel. Starting the tour at Chinchero Colorful Town, also in this town we will visit the house of one citizen where we are going to see the exposition about the weaving process. Then we are going to visit Moray “Circular Terraces” special and unique place, after this, the Salt Mines of Salineras.
12:20 Hr. Buffet Lunch provided in Urubamba town.
In the afternoon you’ll visit to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, an architectural group that in the days of the Tahuantinsuyo empire was a gigantic agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military complex.
Then we are going to visit the colorful market in Pisac and the archeological site.
Finally, we gonna return to Cusco approx. at 19:00 Hr. (Breakfast, Buffet Lunch).
Day 03: Trek to Vinicunca, Rainbow Mountain.
We will start the tour passing by your hotel at 4:30 a.m. on average, ready and with all the recommendations that our staff will give you a day before the tour, we will leave for the south of Cusco to Cusipata town, where we will have breakfast. We will follow the route through an Andean landscape along a semi-serpentine road until we reach the starting point of the Phulawasipata tour (4,630 meters above sea level) where we start the journey, we will travel 3.60 km until we reach the Winincunca viewpoint (5,000 meters above sea level). We will take advantage of the time to breathe air 100% pure, that our body will not appreciate them and take souvenir photos of all this within the time that our guide indicates. In the afternoon we have to say goodbye to this beautiful landscape that seems to be taken from a book story and return to our mobility. Then we will come back to Cusipata to enjoy a delicious lunch and return to the City of Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Tip: 450 meters before reaching the mountain of colors there is a detour that takes you to the Red Valley. This option has an extra cost of S/. 10 soles and must do it on his own.
Important: From Phulawasipata it is possible to take a horse to get to the mountain of colors, this service has a cost of 80 to 100 soles (USD 35).
DAY 04: CUSCO – KM. 82 – HUAYLLABAMBA
Distance: 8 km, duration: 5 hours
Early in the morning, you will be picked up by bus from Cusco at Km 82, from where this 4-day Inca Trail will begin, which is a network of roads that cover the entire Empire of the Incas. Throughout the walk, you will be able to appreciate totally different attractions, which combined are wonderful. One of them is nature that mixes aspects of the landscape, typical flora and fauna abundantly and, on the other hand, the incredible constructions of roads, fortresses and aqueducts of the Inca culture.
At this starting point, you will need to show your Inca Trail permit card with your original passport and you will meet your porters, who will be very busy ordering all the camping equipment that they will then carry on your back. From this point, you will start the walk escorted by a long line of porters, for approximately 2 and a half hours through the Andean flora and beautiful landscapes until you reach the small town of Miskay, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. You will continue the walk for approximately 2 and a half hours until you reach your first camp located in Huayllabamba (3000m / 9842p). When you arrive at your camp you will have a light snack and some free time to walk around, talk with your porters or fellow hikers or rest. Dinner will be served at the indicated time.
DAY 05: HUAYLLABAMBA – PACAYMAYO
Distance: 12 km, duration: 8 hours
Without a doubt, this is the most challenging day of the trek, the one that will start with a lot of energy after a hot mate to wake up and a healthy breakfast. After a few kilometers you will begin the ascent to the highest pass of the entire route, that of Warmihuañusca or also called the Dead Woman Pass (4200m / 13780p) where you will arrive after almost 4 hours. After a short rest at the summit, you will start the long descent down a steep path from where it is possible to see the route that leads to the spectacular ruins of Runkurakay, while observing different ecosystems ranging from the dry puna to the high jungle. At the end of the gorge you will stop at Pacaymayo (3350m / 10990p), place of your second camp.
DAY 06: PACAYMAYO – WIÑAYWAYNA
Distance: 16 km, duration: 10 hours
Shortly after leaving Pacaymayo and a short zigzagging ascent (1 hour approx.) You will arrive at the circular ruins of Runkurakay (3700m / 12139p) only surrounded by forests and steep hills.
After visiting these ruins and a short rest, you will continue ascending to the Runkurakay pass (3850m / 12631p) and then begin the descent and you will notice that from this point the Inca Trail is in an excellent state of conservation. Next, you will reach the steps that go up to the ruins of Sayacmarca (3580m / 11745p) from where the path begins to enter the jungle, the path crosses the «Dry Lake» and the «Tunnel», a natural cavity produced by a landslide of land but adapted by the Incas. This great Inca Trail continues through mountains covered with moss and fern and, after crossing a small pass, you will arrive at the Ceremonial Center of the ruins of Phuyupatamarca (3600m / 11811p) Inca construction with truncated pyramid structure, consisting of eight fountains liturgical at different levels and an exhaustive work of terraces and from where you have a spectacular view of the most impressive snow-capped mountains, to finally reach the spectacular archaeological complex of Wiñaywayna (2650m / 8723p) with its hundreds of platforms and more than 3000 steps carved in the rock, the second most important after Machu Picchu, and where your last camp will be installed.
DAY 07: WIÑAYWAYNA-MACHU PICCHU – VISIT OF THE CIUDADELA – RETURN TRAIN TO CUSCO
Distance: 6 km, duration: 3 hours
On this last day, they will have breakfast very early in the morning in order to obtain a wonderful view with the sunrise from Puerta del Sol (2720m / 8923p), a strategic place from where all of Machu Picchu is dominated (2430m / 7972p) that rises enigmatic among the clouds of the majestic Andes. You continue with the road until you reach the famous citadel, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Guided visit to the archaeological group.
When in 1911, the North American archaeologist and historian Hiram Bingham, discovered «The Lost City of the Empire of the Incas», he could not imagine that he had reached the most enigmatic Inca ruins, one of the most spectacular and awe inspiring places on earth and that still it retains its mystery, charm and mystical appeal, despite its enormous popularity, even more so after being designated one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Exploring the place remains an exciting experience, especially at sunrise, when the scenic rays of light spread over the Andean peaks.
After the guided tour, you will descend from the archaeological zone to the station, and you will board the train, which will wind slowly through the Andean landscape until you reach the town of Ollantaytambo again, where you will be transferred to the vehicle that will take you back. to Cusco.
Day 08: Cusco – Lima
Breakfast at the Hotel.
