Our itinerary allows you to enjoy the best highlights of the Sacred Valley, such as the archeological sites of Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. In this tour, you will get an opportunity to visit the most important Inca archaelogical sites in the valley, tradicitonal markets, customs and popular traditions in the towns.
All of this is provided in a small private tour with a guide who is passionate about Inca history.
General information
Itinerary
7:45 Hr. We will pick you up at from your hotel in our private van and head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, about 30 minutes from Cusco, we gonna do our first stop in the Ccorao Valley, we will visit an artesanal market, where you will buy some beautiful handmade souvenirs for you and your and your loved ones.
Then we will stop in the Mirador of Taray, first view of the Sacred valley of the Incas. This spectacular view of the Sacred valley is laid out before you, with traditional farming communities in the valley floor and mountain peaks rising from the end of the valley.
PISAC
After 35 minutes drive we will visit the archaeological site of Pisac, where you can see an immense Inca cemetery with more than 3000 tombs. You will learn about the incredible farming terraces carved into the mountain. We will spend more than 1 hour here, exploring the ancient Inca city. These ruins are quite extensive and you will see many examples of original Inca architecture.
Then we head back to the colorful market of Pisac, which we visit for about 20 minutes. Then we drive to Urubamba for lunch, where we will enjoy a delicius buffet lunch of traditional Peruvian dishes.
OLLANTAYTAMBO
In the afternoon, we will visit the archeological site of Ollantaytambo, exploring this place for about 1 hour. We will see many terraces, royal baths, temples, etc. This is a very extensive site. You will learn about the incredible architecture of the Sun Temple, admire the water fountains. surrounded by towering mountain peaks and colorful valleys.
Finally we will Visit the Rainbow city Chinchero, and the Andean Textile Center.
Then we will return to Cusco in approximately 50 minutes, dropping you at your hotel around 18:30 Hr.
